[ Services ]Passive Fire Protection
Simtec is fully accredited and compliant to install Promat and Nullifire systems, providing Passive Fire Protection supply, installation and maintenance services to the mining, refinery, industrial, power and commercial sectors across Australia.

Our services include, but are not limited to, mortar systems, panel seals, KBS sealants, Promat Cafco 300, Fendolite, Mandolite fire sprays, Promat mortar, fire collars, fire stopping systems and Nullifire intumescent coatings.

All completed works are supplied with final certification confirming compliance and installation in accordance with Australian Standards.
Coating Ablation for Passive Fire Protection

The coating works through the process of ablation. It is applied as a thick, durable material designed to remain stable even under extreme temperatures. Its strong molecular structure ensures the protected surface can withstand intense heat, including full fire exposure. The level of resistance provided during fire swell is highly effective.

When exposed to fire, the coating begins to ablate immediately. During this process, it absorbs significant amounts of heat energy, helping keep the cable cool. The gases released push oxygen away from the surface, reducing flammable vapours and helping prevent a chain reaction. Once the organic components have burned away, the remaining structure continues to provide strong and reliable protection.
